Back when there used to be actual mermaids in the waters of the Submarine Voyage attraction at Disneyland!

During the summers of 1965 through 1967, Disneyland’s Submarine Voyage lagoon housed real live mermaids. The ladies donned tails, frolicked, and sunbathed for about 4 hours each day.

Outrageous Moral Outrage of the Day: A mammarificent mermaid statue at the Chessington World Of Adventures theme park in South West London was recently covered up by the staff “following reports of visitors getting steamed-up by stone statue Sally in their underwater tunnel.”
”We hadn’t noticed quite how buxom Sally was until we clocked young boys, and not so young boys, spending a lot of time ogling her in the walk-through ocean tunnel,” Chessington’s zoo experience manager Justine Locker was quoted as saying.
What’s this world coming to when a man can’t spend time ogling a stone mermaid’s stone chest in the walk-through ocean tunnel of the Chessington World Of Adventures theme park?

They covered up one of my own? Shame, Earth.
