Because this is an important issue to me, I’m going to be yapping endlessly to you, my friends, about my impending BABY ADOPTION PROCESS.

Side note: I’d much rather adopt an adult dog instead of a puppy but I love the word “baby” so it’s a baby adoption, aight?

I’ve been looking for a dog for a LONG time.  This might sound pathetic to some of you, my precious readers, but the one thing I have always known I wanted IN LIFE was a dog.  Dogs dogs dogs, wanna have a dog and a baby one day! Things to take care of and love! Anyway, because I look at getting a dog the way EVERYONE should, meaning fucking SERIOUSLY, I’ve been dogless ever since my boyfriend from years back decided to (rightfully) keep the purebred dog I bought but we shared.  She was a Shar pei named Peach.  You can tell I was kind of a retarded chick back in my youth, can’t you? “Peach”. Whatever. That’s what she looked like to me!

Anyfuck, that was years ago, and I’ve been dogless ever since.  I did have a couple of creepy mini frogs a few years back, courtesy of my pal Jason, but other than that, no pets. Well, friends, that is going to change.

So my fantasy dog has ALWAYS been a French Bulldog.  I don’t know why I love those goofy looking fucks so much, but I do.  I love their little butts, their bat ears, their silly little snouts!  They do well indoors and are relatively low maitenence, which is the perfect kind of pup for most city dwellers.

Because I’ve been looking for so long, I know exactly how rare a Frenchie going up for adoption is (in California).  Last year, I found exactly 4 purebreds up for adoption and each one was gone the day it was listed.  Because of this, I basically run a search every day, and I’ve started running searches for just “small” dogs in general.  What I’ve discovered is Chihuahua’s are CONSTANTLY up for adoption.  I don’t know if people who love Chi’s are just stupid and don’t get their dogs fixed, but there are SO GODDAMN MANY Chi’s around.  Another things I discovered is I LIKE THEM.

I like them! I had no idea Chi’s could look so different, I thought they all looked like little rats!  Purebreds have MULTIPLE styles but look at these mixes!  If I hadn’t done any research, I’d have NO idea most of these had Chihuahua in them.

OH MAN LOOK AT THESE DOGS!!! GAH!!! SO FUCKING CUTE!!! Oh how I can’t wait to snuggle a dog in my own home, yes. Anyway. This is my update.  We’re going to a shelter this weekend to sniff around.
